How do I recruit Digimon in Digimon Survive?  You can recruit Digimon in free battle mode, as well as the shadow battles that take place in explorable locations if you find a shadowy figure using the phone camera. Once you’re in the battle, you can talk to the enemy Digimon in an attempt to befriend them, making them another recruit for your battle party.  To convince the enemy Digimon to join your ranks, you need to answer three questions and get at least three points out of six for your answers. Don’t worry about keeping track of how your answers are received though, as there’s a six-point meter at the top of the screen to keep track of your responses and how the enemy Digimon feels about them.

As you can see in the table below, of the four answers, each reply will either add points to your tally, or take them off the points you have already received. Fortunately, you can’t get minus points, so even if your first answer is a -2 response, there are up to four possible points left before the end of the conversation.

Answer Points rewarded

Great answer Plus two

Good answer Plus one

Bad answer Minus one

Awful answer Minus two

If you answer enough questions correctly to accumulate three or more points, you have the option of either trying to recruit the enemy Digimon, with a percentage rating telling you the chances of them joining up, or you can try and ply them for items.  As well as answering questions correctly, you have more chance of catching Digimon of a specific typing dependent on your current morality, harmony, and wrath numbers.
