What’s the best Genshin Qiqi build? Qiqi often gets a bad rep as you likely lost your 50/50 to her on a limited banner, but don’t be too sad to see her flash up on your screen. While she’s far from a perfect unit, her hybrid of DPS and healer makes her a pretty valuable asset, and she offers some great survivability and decent damage upkeep.
One thing that’s great about Qiqi is that both her damage and healing potential scale through attack, making her pretty simple to build. Unfortunately, she struggles with energy regeneration, and has long skill and burst cooldowns, especially when compared to her regular competition.
However, when used as a primary healer, kitted out with the right artifacts, and paired up with another cryo unit, she’s surprisingly reliable. Honestly, don’t sleep on Qiqi – I’ve been using her as a full support in my freeze team comp alongside Genshin Impact’s Ayaka and Genshin Impact’s Ayato for a while now, and, with the relatively easy to obtain R5 Sacrificial Sword and a full set of Ocean Hued Clam, I’ve never been more comfortable.
In this guide we primarily focus on full healer Qiqi, as, in our opinion, that’s the role she excels at best, and the competition for cryo DPS is far too stiff to be worthwhile. What’s the best Genshin Qiqi weapon? While Qiqi’s weapon choice is pretty flexible, we generally recommend going with Sacrificial Sword for healer Qiqi. Though it has low base attack, it offers a decent boost to her sorely needed energy recharge, which gives you more room to focus on attack stats on her artifacts.
Additionally, at refinement rank five, Sacrificial Sword’s passive reliably resets Qiqi’s elemental skill cooldown, which combats two of her main flaws – a long skill cooldown, and a lack of elemental particles. When paired with Ocean Hued Clam artifacts, Sacrificial Sword tackles most of Qiqi’s shortcomings, and makes her a far more viable healer.
Alternatively, you can equip Qiqi with Skyward Blade due to its high energy recharge. Or, if you’re looking for a more affordable option, Favonius Sword works well and reduces the strain on her teammates when it comes to regenerating elemental particles.

Skyward Blade Base stat: energy recharge Skill: crit rate increases by 4%. Upon using an elemental burst, gain Skypiercing Might, which increases movement and attack speed by 10% and increases the damage of normal and charged attacks by 20% for 12 seconds
Favonius Sword Base stat: energy recharge Skill: crit hits have a 60% chance to generate a small amount of elemental particles, which regenerate six energy for the wielder. Can only occur once every 12 seconds
What are the best Genshin Qiqi artifacts? Ocean Hued Clam is an amazing choice for Qiqi, offering a significant boost to her damage, even when she’s off-field. This set synergises particularly well with Sacrificial Sword to maximise its up time.
Alternatively, you can use a full set of Instructor if you’re confident that your Qiqi will be triggering elemental reactions consistently. But honestly, just go with Ocean Hued Clam, it’s the best set for healer Qiqi by far.
