Brassius Another gym leader is Brassius, in Artazon. He is a hard-looking dude with the cutest little Smoliv for company. He’s a grass-type specialist, with his whip looking like a nasty, thorny vine.

Iono Iono is Levincis’s gym leader in the Paldea region, but spends her spare time as a streamer and influencer, hence all the fanfare in the introduction video. She has a Wattrel, Bellibolt, Luxio, and Mismagius for company.

Kofu With a Veluza, Wugtrio, and Crabominable, Kofu is the water-type gym leader. On arriving in Cascarrafa, you get tasked with returning his wallet to him and then going to auction before you can even battle the fella. Once you’ve done all that, though, the badge can be yours.

Larry Larry’s, like, just a normal dude by the looks of it. No wild character design or obvious conceit. Oh, and that makes sense, because he is the normal-type gym leader in Medali, with a Komala, Dudunsparce, and Staraptor on his team.

Ryme Banette, Mimikyu, Houndstone, and Toxtricity make up the ghost-type gym leader Ryme’s roster. You can find the well-known rapper on Glaseado Mountain in Montenevera.

Tulip Continuing the perfect matching of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet gym leaders to types, Tulip gives of ethereal, almost snooty airiness. She’s the Psychic-type gym leader in Alfornada, and they have Farigiraf, Gardevoir, Espathra, and Florges by her side.

Grusha The first Pokémon Scarlet and Violet gym leader we learned about, Grusha, used to be a professional snowboarder, but now he’s the Glaseado gym’s leader. With Cetitan as his partner, he’s also an Ice-type specialist who’s usually pretty chill. Still, when battles get heated, he can reveal some things about himself he’d usually keep hidden.
