What are Pokémon Legends: Arceus outbreaks? Pokémon Legends: Arceus outbreaks, or mass outbreaks, are events that see swarms of Pokémon go to a specific area on the map. As you progress through the game, you’re notified of these mass outbreaks, which each last for 15 minutes.

When you get to the location, there are four of the same type of Pokémon gathered together, and, as you catch them, more spawn in their place. This is super handy for filling out your Pokédex entry on the specific Pokémon featured in the outbreak, and also significantly increases your chances of getting yourself a shiny.
